Meet The Team
Michelle Garcia, Psy. D
Owner & Licensed Clinical Psychologist

After earning her B.A. in Psychology from Florida State University, Michelle graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2003 with a M.S. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. Specializing in short- and long-term consultations and treatment plans for individuals of all ages, in 2007 she founded the Michelle Garcia Psy.D. & Associates practice. She co-wrote the nationally recognized Quality of Life Curriculum with Brandon Delgado.

In addition to counseling and curriculum, Michelle and her team provide psychological and neuropsychological testing for a wide variety of conditions (including autism) with the goal of reducing behavioral challenges and improving quality of life. She has provided crisis intervention services (ex. after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita), conducted workshops and served on committees both at the state and local level.

​Dr. Garcia also does expert testimony, including Due Process, Family Law, and State and Federal cases where the person has a diagnosis of Autism or another disability. She does specialized assessments to diagnose or confirm Autism or other disability conditions where the person has been involved in the criminal justice system and needs this report providing the diagnosis as it relates to this involvement. Finally, she is now an Associate Sex Offender Treatment Provider (under supervision of Dr. William Ross) and as such, she is able to provide needs related to this when a person has a diagnosis of Autism or a disability condition.
Brandon Delgado, M.A.
Team Leader & Licensed Psychological Associate

Following his graduation with a B.A. in Psychology from Texas State University, Brandon enrolled in Sam Houston State University and earned an M.A. in Clinical Psychology.
Brandon has worked with individuals of all ages to diagnose and treat a variety of mental health and behavioral issues, including autism. He co-wrote the nationally recognized Quality of Life Curriculum with Dr. Garcia, is scheduled to speak at the 2020 Attention Deficit Disorders Association conference, and has presented research at the American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences conference.

​Brandon Delgado is also an Associate Sex Offender Treatment Provider (under supervision of Dr. William Ross) and as such, provides this specialized individual therapy for individuals diagnosed or suspected to have Autism or another disability condition who have a history of legal involvement.
Josephine Avila, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychological Associate

Dr. Avila earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University in October 2021. She also holds a M.A. in Psychology (2013) and a B. S. in Business Management from LeTourneau University. She joined Michelle Garcia Psy.D. & Associates in 2017.
Josephine has helped clients of all ages by providing psychological testing and therapeutic services for a wide variety of conditions (including autism) with the goal of reducing behavioral challenges and improving quality of life. She is also a member of Psi Chi - The International Honor Society in Psychology.

Dr. Avila is also an Associate Sex Offender Treatment Provider (under supervision of Dr. William Ross) and as such, runs the national virtual QOL Curriculum group to provide education and group support for individuals with and without legal involvement. This program is run by Dr. Avila to prevent victimization and involvement in the criminal justice system, as a court appointed program, or to reduce repeat involvement with the criminal justice system.
Bibi Ladipo-Ajayi, Pharm D, MMFT, LCDC

Dr. Bibi joined Michelle Garcia Psy.D. & Associates in 2024. She holds a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy (2021) from The King’s University and a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2010) from Texas Southern University. With her diverse background including being a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Dr. Bibi is committed to empowering individuals in their mental, behavioral health, and overall wellness.
She works with adolescents, adults, couples, and seniors, addressing trauma, addictions, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, anxiety, depression, insomnia, life transitions, and relationship conflicts. Dr. Bibi is passionate about helping clients gain clarity and break free from toxic cycles.
Driven by her passion for service, she collaborates with local non-profit organizations to provide accessible, high-quality mental and behavioral healthcare to underserved communities, with the ultimate goal of improving their quality of life.
Josiah Franklin, MS, MFA, PsyD
Licensed Psychological Associate
Supervised by Dr. Michelle Garcia

​Dr. Franklin joined Dr. Michelle Garcia and Associates as a Licensed Psychological Associate in 2023. He holds a BFA in Drama Education from the University of Texas at Austin, an MFA in Theatre from the University of Houston, an MS in Educational Management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a PsyD from California Southern University.
His doctoral research culminated in a systematic review of rejection sensitivity in gay men and the impact of parental and social rejection on an individual’s self-development, self-esteem, and self-efficacy.
Prior professional experiences includes being an educator for students from Pre-K to adult in face-to-face and online environments; an educational trainer, supervisor, manager, principal, and director; a small business owner; and a theatrical designer, director, and performing artist. In addition to working with clients with intellectual and developmental issues, he is available for educational consultations and individual counseling.
Morgan Draper, M.A.
Licensed Professional Counselor

Morgan earned her Bachelor's in English and Psychology from Harding University and a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Baptist University. She joined the Michelle Garcia Psy.D. & Associates team in 2022 upon receiving her license.
​Prior to joining Michelle Garcia Psy.D. & Associates, Morgan worked as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional, a Program Director, and a Registered Behavior Technician for individuals with Autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Morgan currently works with the rest of the team providing services to individuals with disabilities, in their home, school and community.
In addition she also counsels children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and other concerns in private practice.
